Cadillac For Sale

See our Cadillacs for sale at Pedal to the Metal. Founded in Detroit in 1902 and part of General Motors since 1909, Cadillac earned its Standard of the World slogan by winning the Dewar Trophy for interchangeable parts. It introduced the first V16 in 1930 and the first tailfins in 1948, which peaked on the 1959 cars. Classic highlights include the Coupe de Ville of 1949, the Eldorado from 1953 and the 500 cubic-inch V8 of 1970. Its modern V-Series cars, from the CTS-V to the CT5-V Blackwing, bring supercharged V8 performance to the range.

If your ideal Cadillac isn’t in our current inventory, we can help you find it. PTTM sources high-quality classic and collector cars, with worldwide delivery available.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Choose by era and character. The 1949 Coupe de Ville was one of the first mass-produced hardtop coupés, and the Cadillac DeVille went on to cover coupés, convertibles and sedans. The Eldorado began in 1953 as a limited convertible, was reinvented for 1967 as a front-wheel-drive personal luxury coupé, with a convertible offered again in the 1970s. The 1959 cars, with their tall tailfins, are among the best known of the era.

Modern performance comes from the V-Series, including the CTS-V and its successor, the CT5-V Blackwing.

Classic Cadillacs were built around large V8 engines and smooth automatic transmissions for effortless cruising. The 500 cubic-inch V8, introduced in the 1970 Eldorado, is the largest, and was exclusive to the Eldorado until 1975. Modern V-Series cars are very different: the first CTS-V used a 400 hp 5.7 V8 with a six-speed manual, the second a supercharged 6.2 V8 of 556 hp, and the third a supercharged 6.2 V8 of 640 hp.

Start with identity and specification. Check that the VIN, body tag and engine match the car and its documentation, especially on limited models such as the 1953 Eldorado, the Eldorado Biarritz and Seville and the Eldorado Brougham. Then inspect the frame, floors, rear quarters and lower panels for rust and previous repairs, and check that the power windows, seats, convertible top mechanism and other electrical equipment work. On modern V-Series cars, check service history and any modifications.

On restomod and pro-touring cars, judge the quality of the components and workmanship. PTTM can share the information available on a car and discuss any further inspection.

Model, body style and condition set the starting point. A 1953 Eldorado, of which 532 were built, an Eldorado Biarritz, a 1957–1960 Eldorado Brougham or a 1959 convertible sits in a very different market from a later four-door sedan. On modern V-Series cars, the generation, transmission, mileage and originality matter most. Within any car, value reflects originality, documentation, factory options, the condition of chrome and trim, and colour.

Unrestored survivors, restored cars and professionally built restomods are each valued on different terms. Compare the whole car and its records alongside the price, and PTTM can help you define a realistic search.

Registration or title documents with a VIN matching the car are the foundation. Original paperwork such as a window sticker, dealer invoice or build documentation adds weight where it survives, and the body tag records much of the factory specification. Service records and restoration invoices show how the car has been maintained and what has been done since. Imported cars should carry their import papers, and PTTM’s Registration Service can guide European registration.

Yes, PTTM can assess your current car and discuss a trade-in towards a Cadillac purchase. Send us its make, model, year, mileage, photographs and available history, along with details of the car you are interested in. Trade-ins are not automatic: each proposal is considered individually, based on condition, documentation and market demand.

Possible structures include equal-value exchanges and trades with a cash adjustment on either side, agreed transparently in advance.

Cadillac set many of the standards of American luxury motoring. It was the first maker to fit electric starting and lighting as standard, in 1912, and its 1948 tailfins influenced car design for more than a decade. The hand-built Eldorado Brougham of 1957–1960 cost about twice as much as a regular Eldorado, and the 1976 Eldorado convertible was promoted as the last American convertible, with about 14,000 sold. In 2008 a CTS-V set a production-sedan record at the Nürburgring. A well-sorted driver can be as rewarding as a concours restoration.

It depends on how you plan to use the car. A classic convertible suits open-air cruising, while a hardtop coupé or sedan offers more comfort on long journeys. A modern CTS-V or CT5-V Blackwing combines supercharged V8 performance with everyday usability. An original or factory-correct restored car suits buyers who value authenticity, while a restomod adds modern brakes, suspension and comfort. PTTM offers both, from factory-correct restorations to custom restomod and pro-touring builds.

Yes. Our Personalized Car Search service can look beyond our current inventory. Tell us your preferred model and year, body style, whether original or modified, and colour, condition and budget.

We identify suitable cars and help assess their condition, history and authenticity. 1953 Eldorados, Biarritz convertibles, Eldorado Broughams, 1959 convertibles and low-mileage V-Series cars can take longer to find, and we will give you an honest expectation of timing. Search terms are agreed before we begin, and you are never obliged to proceed with a car we present.

Yes. PTTM works with buyers across Europe and overseas and can coordinate transport to your country. Within Europe, cars travel by road with our own trailers or trusted partners. Intercontinental deliveries normally go by sea freight, and air freight is available on request. We confirm the transport method, insurance, costs and estimated timing for your destination before you commit. Import requirements vary by country, so share your destination when enquiring and we can explain the options.
