Explore Dodge Coronets for sale at Pedal to the Metal. Our focus is the mid-size B-body Coronet of 1965–1970, offered as two-door hardtops, convertibles, sedans and wagons, in trims including the 440 and 500. Engines ranged from the slant six and small-block V8s to the 383, 440 Magnum and 426 Hemi, with manual gearboxes or the TorqueFlite automatic. The R/T arrived for 1967 with the 440 Magnum as standard, and the Super Bee followed for 1968 as a lower-priced muscle car. We also offer earlier full-size Coronets from time to time, including 1950s cars with Dodge’s Red Ram Hemi V8.
If your ideal Dodge isn’t in our current inventory, we can help you find it. PTTM sources high-quality classic and collector cars, with worldwide delivery available.
Choose by era, body style and engine. The 1965 Coronet returned as a mid-size car on a 117-inch wheelbase, and the 1966 redesign made the 426 Hemi available on any model. The 1967 cars introduced the R/T. The 1968–1970 cars were redesigned alongside the Charger on the B-body, adding the Super Bee, with the 440 Six Pack from 1969 and a new front end for 1970.
Earlier 1949–1959 Coronets are full-size cars, with the optional Red Ram Hemi V8 from 1953. The 1971–1976 Coronets were mainly sedans and wagons, before the name ended after 1976.
They mark the two performance models. The R/T, offered from 1967 to 1970 as a hardtop and convertible, came with the 440 Magnum as standard and the 426 Hemi as an option, and gained the 440 Six Pack option in mid-1969. The Super Bee, built on the Coronet from 1968 to 1970, was a lower-priced muscle car with a 383 Magnum as standard. It began as a pillared coupé, added a hardtop for 1969 and offered the Hemi and, from 1969, the A12 440 Six Pack.
Start with identity, because R/T, Super Bee, A12 and Hemi clones are common. The VIN records the model, body and engine, and the fender tag on the inner wing records much of the factory specification. Check that both match the car, its documentation and its drivetrain, especially on Hemi, Six Pack and convertible cars, and check engine numbers where they survive. Then inspect the unibody structure, floors, rear quarters and lower panels for rust and previous repairs.
On restomod and pro-touring cars, judge the quality of the components and workmanship. PTTM can share the information available on a car and discuss any further inspection.
Year, body style and engine set the starting point. A documented Hemi car, a 1966 Coronet 500 Street Hemi, an A12 Super Bee or an R/T convertible sits in a very different market from a six-cylinder sedan or wagon. Within any specification, value reflects originality and matching drivetrain components, documentation and condition, factory options and colour.
Unrestored survivors, restored cars and professionally built pro-touring cars and restomods are each valued on different terms. Compare the whole car and its records alongside the price, and PTTM can help you define a realistic search.
Registration or title documents with a VIN matching the car are the foundation. On a 1965–1970 Coronet, the fender tag and the broadcast sheet, where it survives, record the factory build and can be decoded by Mopar specialists. Original paperwork such as a window sticker or dealer invoice adds weight where it survives. Restoration invoices and photographs show what has been done since. Imported cars should carry their import papers, and PTTM’s Registration Service can guide European registration.
Yes, PTTM can assess your current car and discuss a trade-in towards a Dodge purchase. Send us its make, model, year, mileage, photographs and available history, along with details of the car you are interested in. Trade-ins are not automatic: each proposal is considered individually, based on condition, documentation and market demand.
Possible structures include equal-value exchanges and trades with a cash adjustment on either side, agreed transparently in advance.
The Coronet spans Dodge’s early Hemi era and its muscle-car years. In 1953 the Red Ram Hemi Coronet set more than 100 land speed records at Bonneville, and only 101 Hemi-powered D-501 cars were built for 1957. In 1966, 136 Coronet 500s were built with the Street Hemi. The Super Bee added 1,907 A12 cars with the 440 Six Pack for 1969. Individual cars stand out through originality, documentation, rare options and condition, and a well-sorted driver can be as rewarding as a concours restoration.
It depends on how you plan to use the car. A convertible suits open-air touring, a hardtop gives a pillarless profile, and the sedans and wagons offer room for passengers and luggage. Small-block cars suit relaxed driving, while 440 and Hemi cars deliver more torque. An original or factory-correct restored Coronet suits buyers who value authenticity. A restomod adds modern brakes, suspension and comfort for regular use. PTTM offers both, from factory-correct restorations to custom restomod and pro-touring builds. Tell your sales advisor how and how often you plan to drive, so we can recommend suitable cars or discuss a project.
Yes. Our Personalized Car Search service can look beyond our current inventory. Tell us your preferred year and body style, engine and transmission, whether original or modified, and colour, condition and budget.
We identify suitable cars and help assess their condition, history and authenticity. Documented Hemi cars, R/T convertibles, A12 Super Bees and 1950s Hemi Coronets can take longer to find, and we will give you an honest expectation of timing. Search terms are agreed before we begin, and you are never obliged to proceed with a car we present.
Yes. PTTM works with buyers across Europe and overseas and can coordinate transport to your country. Within Europe, cars travel by road with our own trailers or trusted partners. Intercontinental deliveries normally go by sea freight, and air freight is available on request. We confirm the transport method, insurance, costs and estimated timing for your destination before you commit. Import requirements vary by country, so share your destination when enquiring and we can explain the options.
We’re happy to discuss your plans and advise on the right next steps. Whether you’re considering a purchase, planning a restoration or build, or exploring options for selling or registration.
