THE CAR
The 1970 Barracuda is one of the cleanest shapes Plymouth ever put on the road, and the Gran Coupe convertible is the version built for people who want to enjoy it rather than race it. Plymouth offered the Gran Coupe convertible in 1970 only, and just 518 were built, which makes this one of the rarest E-body convertibles you can find.

This car was ordered on 5 September 1969 by Rogers-Farmer Metro Chrysler-Plymouth Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia. It was built at the Hamtramck Assembly Plant on 15 September 1969 and shipped to the dealer on Spring Street N.W. in Atlanta, and it has been a Georgia car since new. The paperwork is all there, including the original window sticker, the original bill of sale and the warranty sheet.
The car has been beautifully restored and it shows in the way it drives. It feels tight, it feels good, and it does everything you ask of it without fuss. The 318 is numbers matching, which means the car still carries the engine it was born with.

EXTERIOR
The Vitamin C Orange paint is loud in the best way and sits on straight, well fitted bodywork. In the sun it glows. Chrome, trim and glass are all in matching condition, and the Gran Coupe script on the body and the Barracuda badging are crisp. The convertible top works without any problems, so you can go from open air to closed in moments, whenever the weather decides for you.

INTERIOR
The white interior is sensational. The high back bucket seats are clean and beautifully finished, and the contrast against the orange outside is what turns this car from nice to unforgettable. The woodgrain dash gives the cabin a period correct Gran Coupe feel, and the rim blow steering wheel with the Barracuda emblem in the center makes the driver’s seat stand out wherever you park. Gran Coupe lettering on the white trim reminds you which Barracuda you are sitting in.
