THE CAR
Few muscle car shapes have aged as well as the 1968 Charger, with its coke bottle body, hidden headlights and that blacked out full width grille. This example is a light restomod, meaning the character of the car is untouched while the parts that matter for modern driving have been upgraded. It originally came from the US, where it went through a complete restoration over a two year period that included a full overhaul of the electrical system and the dashboard, along with the installation of air conditioning and heating.

The odometer shows 572 miles, believed to be the distance covered since the restoration. The result is a Charger that starts, drives and behaves like a car you want to enjoy every Sunday. The mechanical components work as they should, and it delivers the kind of performance you want from a car that looks like this. A new brake booster has been fitted, so stopping power matches the performance on tap.

EXTERIOR
The Sea Blue paint presents in good condition, with few visible flaws. It is not a concours finish and it does not try to be, which is exactly why you can use the car without worrying about every small mark. The double black stripe across the trunk gives the rear a distinctive look and sets this Charger apart from the usual. The black grille, the chrome and the trim sit well against the blue. The car rides on four Torque Thrust style wheels in very good condition, with Mickey Thompson tires on the rear, and the stance says everything about the intent.

INTERIOR
The green vinyl interior is a rare sight. It is believed to be the original upholstery and it shows slight wear. The dashboard has been restored and fitted with new white faced gauges, and the electrical system behind it has been overhauled.A Sony stereo system is fitted for the drive.
