Let’s go in depth

1967 Shelby GT500 427 4-Speed

1967 Shelby GT500 Super Snake Tribute | 427 Side Oiler V8 by Holman-Moody | Dutch (NL) Registration

The History
The 1967 Shelby GT500 Super Snake stands as one of the rarest and most talked-about cars to come out of the Shelby and Ford partnership. Only one was ever built, created as a test bed to push the GT500 platform beyond anything offered to the public. Carroll Shelby's team fitted it with a race-bred 427 side oiler and a 4-speed manual, turning an already potent car into something closer to a race car with license plates.

The Car
This tribute build follows that same blueprint, and it's not a cosmetic exercise. The 427 side oiler under the hood was installed by Holman-Moody, the same Charlotte-based outfit that built and prepared Ford's factory race cars through the 1960s, including Le Mans-winning GT40s and NASCAR championship cars. That pedigree shows the moment you start it. This isn't a car that drives like a cruiser with a big engine dropped in. It behaves like what it is: a genuine race-built machine wearing a Mustang body.
Finished in white with a 4-speed manual transmission, the car has been fully inspected by our team, with any necessary work completed before it reached the showroom floor.

Condition
Most of the interior remains original, right down to a steering wheel that shows its age honestly rather than hiding it. It's the kind of wear that tells you this car has been driven, not just displayed. The exterior carries a few paint flaws typical of a car with real history behind it, nothing that takes away from its presence, but worth knowing about upfront. You can take it exactly as it sits and enjoy it the way it was built to be enjoyed, as a genuine driver's car with race car DNA. Or, if you'd rather have it turned out for the show circuit, our team can bring it up to concours-level condition and have it ready to steal the spotlight at any event you choose. Either way, what you're getting underneath is the real thing.
