1967 Pontiac GTO 400 4-Speed

1967 PONTIAC GTO - 400 V8 - 4-SPEED - REGIMENTAL RED - FACTORY DOCUMENTED

The 1967 GTO is the car that defined the muscle car era. Two-year body style, stacked headlights, chrome bumper, those body lines. There is a reason collectors keep coming back to this generation. This one is in Regimental Red, one of the most striking colors Pontiac offered in 1967, with a black bucket seat interior and a Muncie M20 4-speed on the floor. It is the correct combination for a car like this.

We know this car well. We sold it previously and serviced it during the previous owner's ownership. Now it is back in our showroom, freshly inspected and ready for its next chapter.

The car is fully documented. The Fisher body tag and billing history confirm the factory specification, and the VIN decodes correctly to a genuine 1967 GTO hardtop coupe, built in Baltimore on March 31, 1967.

THE CAR
The exterior is finished in Regimental Red (factory colour code R2, confirmed by the cowl tag), and it presents beautifully. The paint has good shine and the body is straight. The stacked quad headlights, GTO grille, chrome bumpers, and full-length body side mouldings are all in good condition. The car sits on Pontiac Rally II wheels with redline tyres, which suit it perfectly.

Factory colour and specification confirmed via:
  • Fisher body tag (cowl): colour R2, trim 224, body style 24217
  • 1967 Pontiac billing history document present
  • VIN 242177B125384 decodes to: 1967 GTO hardtop coupe, Baltimore assembly
DRIVETRAIN
The engine is the correct 400 cubic inch Pontiac V8, fed by a 4-barrel carburettor. It runs well, pulls strongly, and sounds exactly as a big-block Pontiac should.
  • Engine: Pontiac 400 V8, 4-barrel carburettor
  • Transmission: Muncie M20 wide-ratio 4-speed manual (correct for this car), floor shifter with console
  • Rear axle: correct semi-floating hypoid unit
UNDERCARRIAGE
The underside is in solid condition. The car has been maintained properly throughout its time with us and the previous owner. Before delivery, we perform a full inspection to ensure the car drives perfectly from day one.

INTERIOR
The interior is finished in black and presents very well. Black over red is a classic combination and this car wears it naturally.
  • Black bucket seats with floor console
  • Muncie 4-speed floor shifter
  • Woodgrain dashboard and console trim
  • Rally gauge cluster with round instruments
  • Power steering
  • Original-style seat belts present
