My dad bought this AAR CUDA and here is his story:
I began looking for a 1970 matching numbers AAR CUDA for sale about 5 months ago. They are very hard to find given low production numbers, produced one year only, and had many options to pick from. I’m fairly analytical and Immediately started learning all I could about these cars. I spent evenings online searching inventories of classic car assignment dealers, personal sale adds, and Craigslist ( multiple areas and states), trying to find the car I wanted.
Early in my search I fouund a Cuda with everything I wanted as I stumbled on to “ Pedal to The Metal “ dealer specializing in muscle cars! I spent hours looking at the information on this website. It was by far the best display and informative website I had seen. The write up regarding the car was detailed with the vehicle description, history, and the 100 plus pictures of the car which were fantastic. Close ups of the body, gaps, engine, underside, interior, nothing was hidden.
I was truly excited until I realized this company ( PTTM ) was located in the Netherlands! Imagine my disappointment given all of my time searching. I moved on and continued my search elsewhere. However, I kept going back to the PTTM car and finally I called them.
I spoke directly with Max Dorland the owner and found him to be informative and experienced not only in classic cars, but buying and shipping cars internationally. PTTM is a full operation in the sense they’re great with Mopars and other muscle cars, has a restoration service, mechanic service, shipping service, and parts department.
Honestly, I was terrified about buying a car unseen, as well as one from overseas. I live in California. I never would’ve if it weren’t for Max himself. He settled my uncertainties by listening to me and realizing how nervous I was about such purchase. He went the extra mile to educate me on the process and protections, sharing experiences, keeping me informed, and handling all of the complicated items like shipping and customs. He even made me a personal video of him driving the car.
It all went well! The car is beautiful and is everything he said it was. He kept me informed, calm and he truly delivered. I had everything needed for California registration. One of my best friends has a 1970 Boss 302 on the water now he bought from Max after he saw my CUDA!
